Day Safari To Selous National Park

Venture for the 50 minutes to one hour flight south-east into Tanzania’s iconic and beautiful Nyerere National Park, one of the few Protected Areas in the country’s southern circuit. Surrounded by Udzungwa Mountains National Park in the west as well as Mikumi National Park in the northwest, explore this awesome safari destination in all its glory with a game drive.

Aboard a hatch top safari vehicle and in the company of an experienced driver / guide discover different landscapes to spot the animals that call this National Park home. These include  lion, elephant, Masai giraffes, African wild dogs, yellow baboons, Defassa waterbucks, impalas, vervet monkeys, cheetahs, greater kudu, blue monkeys, wildebeests and Black rhinos,  among others.

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS.

• Pick up from your hotel in Zanzibar (between 4am to 5am) for your morning flight (between 6am to 7am) to Selous (Mtemere airstrip) taking approx. 50 minutes.
• Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip in Selous, you will be met and greeted by our professional driver guides for briefing before proceeding with your full day game drive.
• A picnic lunch break at safe vantage point for a chance to spot the images of your dreams ranging from the beautiful scenery to fascinating views of wildlife, in a natural habitat.
• After the safari, drive to Mtemere airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar where your driver will be waiting for you to transfer back to your respective hotels.
